Say It Ain’t So

Maybe this would be sweeter for Red Sox fans if they forget that they will be losing half the team to free agency during the off-season.
Ah well, life now officially returns to normal.
Better living through toy robotics.

Wooo! I kinda wish that Jim Edmonds hadn’t gone 0-4 tonight and Curt Schilling wasn’t such a publicity bitch and Nomar was still actually on the team, but I’m still very pleased. Woooo!

Curt looked positively demure compared to Pedro.

I didn’t actually watch the game. At 11 pm I started watching Daily Show and Jon Stewart made a joke suggesting viewers click over to the game instead. Since I always listen to what Stewart tells me, I did. It was 3-0 in the 8th and then I thought I shouldn’t watch, because if I actually took an interest I might jinx them.

My dad is very very happy. And I’m happy for him and the Red Sox. Gives me hope that the teams in Chicago can pull their heads out of their collective asses too.

The difference for me is that if the Cubs ended up in the World Series, as long as they weren’t playing the Yankees or the A’s, I’d be all for them. Don’t know what to think of those White Sox, though. Talk about a curse…

The next long-suffering team I want to see wear a ring: the Cleveland Indians.
If a Chicago team wins next year, I’m building the bunker.

Hey, the Indians are building a nice little club right now. You never know what they might turn into in a few years.

I fully expect the Indians to be competing for the AL Central title next year. They won’t drop off like the Royals did this year - too much young talent.
