Julio Franco: Force of Nature
February 24th, 2005There are always a lot of fluff pieces written during Spring Training, but I enjoyed this, about one of the coolest players around, Julio Franco.
Franco repeated his goal of playing until he’s 50 — or four more seasons. He turns 47 in August.
Last year we saw him become the oldest player in the majors ever to hit a grand slam.

Julio made one of the funniest comments ever last year when a reporter asked him about steroids. Not only did he deny using them, he said the only thing he uses is “Jesus juice.”
